Our School Journal-Entry 15

The Homeschool Mother's Journal

In my life this week…

This week we’ve had youth music camp at our church, and I had every intention of doing a little school in the afternoons. But we’ve been so wiped out! So, it’s been another mini-break for us. We’ll get back into it next week. And I’m excited! I’ve found some really cute ideas from a friend’s blog and can’t wait to try them out with the kids.

In our homeschool this week…

We had such a blessing this week. One of the ladies I worked with at music camp is a public school teacher, and she was moving classrooms this summer. While clearing out the classroom that she was moving into, there were tons of art supplies they no longer needed. So she was giving it all away. I got 9 big bottles of tempura paint, 5 bottles of liquid watercolors, a big box of plaster of paris, a watercolor set, and 3 big paintbrushes! What a HUGE blessing! I can’t wait to start using it all.

Links to share…

Actually, I’d love for you to share links with me. I’m trying to put together a post of helpful links for homeschoolers of children with special needs. I have a few links, but I would love to hear from others what has been most helpful for them. So, please share your links in the comments section.

  1. Free art supplies! How fantastic for you! Now, where can I find myself an art teacher moving classrooms in my area?! 🙂

  2. Cool finds. Have a great week.
